WAITING ON A SPANKING

What is it? Who gets it? Who doesn't? Why do we need it? Where does it come from?  These are answers that we really need to have answered  in order to understand the value and need of it in our lives.

Mercy is God NOT  giving us what we DESERVE to get.  Humm, remember when you were expecting a spanking from your Mom and she "let you go".. let it slide?

But the thing is , we kept expecting  it. Well, if you had a mother like mine.... You kinda walked slowly when you came into a room not knowing if she was just setting you up ..  to get you when you least expected.   But after awhile you began to relax a little more and finally you "Believed and Accepted the fact that she really did  let you go - or slide .

Sometimes it is difficult for us to receive GOD's Mercy. The religious world has preached and taught that GOD is going to "get you".  That GOD is waiting to punish us for everything we have done , are doing and will do wrong.

So we walk around with the Burden and weight of Guilt ! Guilt that will destroy you mentally, physically and emotionally.  Its like we are waiting for a big rock to fall out of the sky, or we accept that bad things are happening  to us because GOD is going to get us for whatever we have done.

When we build a relationship with our Father, as his child we learn his heart toward us and that although he is a just GOD and will reward our evil with punishment more than that he is our Father.

THINK about this;  Before GOD allowed Adam to Sin,  he had FORGIVEN  him already.

Revelations 5th Chapter says ... before the foundation of the Earth, Jesus was in GOD, bringing us back to GOD.

STOP walking around waiting for GOD to get you... MERCY  is what he has ALREADY given us.

  1. Mercy will always be with us as well as Grace, but expect the unexpected things about God as he is revealing his plan for our lives we are not held in captivity or in bondage he died so we can be free so yes i agree don't walk in guilt or fear but walk around with your head held high remaining humble and wait for the unexpected. # expect the unexpected

    1. I agree! We need to retrain ourselves to 'EXPECT THE FAVOR OF GOD" ! Not just ask for it,or pray for it but to really began to walk in faith and EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED .. AND IT IS GOOD!

  3. I have dealt with guilt on many levels. I have often felt so burdened by my guilt that I was afraid to ask God for the things I wanted because in my mind he was gonna say no because of the things I have done in the past. I also felt that I didn't receive the things that I prayed for because God was punishing me for being disobedient. I have grown in my relationship with God and I know that my Father does not operate in that way. I have to remind myself that just because God does not answer me in the way I would like him to doesn't mean that he is punishing me. -LSM-

    1. What growth! To see where you were and where you are now. And greater ...to know there is so much more waiting on you and for you. 'For I know the plans I have for you and they are to prosper you and to bring you to a good end!"
That's the way a Father responses to his children, just the way you are learning to respond to his love and mercy.

IN THE BEGINNING - A NEW MERCY

In The Beginning -  A New Mercy  This first post is dedicated to my son Dustin who became a second confirmation to me that it was time to begin this blog that has been on my mind for quite sometime. He called because he was looking through some bible study documents that were a part of a spiritual journey he had taken some time ago. I am so proud of my son and what GOD has done and is doing for and through him. He encourages and motivates me in so many ways.. like this .. lighting a fire and pushing me towards what I know GOD has called me to do. His study was talking about  the book of Genesis which  has many meanings but we are most familiar with it's meaning -" the beginning." The beginning - the start-  of something.   As we look at our lives we can recall many beginnings .  Some that we ignited others because circumstances caused the New start.      What I want to focus on with this Beginning is the Mercy of GOD . ...
