UNFAILING LOVE

UNFAILING LOVE ... Psalms 13: 5-6 BUT I TRUST IN YOUR UNFAILING LOVE ... my heart rejoiceth in your salvation. I will sing to the lord because he has been good to me. When I think about how much GOD loves us it makes me weep... His Unfailing Love is what has sustained me through so many things and times. Even when I have not felt that I was loveable or didn't feel he was "showing" me Love-.. A prayer not answered, a burden not lifted.. a hurt not healed. If I am honest , I ask "don't you love me". Yet he did not base his love for me-- on what I was feeling . Wow. He loved me with a love that does not fail and will not stop. The Bible says "..he knew me - yet he loved me. He knew what I would do and become before it happened. Every failure, every disappointment, every mess up. He knows my end from my beginning and I can take comfort in his words" ---"I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.(message bible) Jeremiah 29:11 . This is the evidence of his Unfailing Love. That he is going to take care of me . That I am not alone, and that he has a successful future planned to me . That he knows the way I should go, which turn I should take and what decisions I should make. He knows. He knows. I can only speculate. I have to learn to trust the only one that Knows. His Unfailing Love for me. Love that is constant, strong, never fails, never gives up never dies, and never ends. And his word declares that Nothing Can ever change that. It means there is nothing I can do , to make GOD change his LOVE for me . Romans 8:38-39The Message (MSG) 31-39 So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God’s chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins .I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us. Thank you GOD for your UNFAILING LOVE that surrounds me and comforts me and holds me and makes me weep and I say thank you!

  1. Yes!! That is my very scripture!! It reminds me of an encounter I had this weekend. So, I was on my way home from my aunt's house and I pulled up to a stop light were a man happen to be standing at the corner of the intersection holding up a sign that read, "Homeless...Anything Helps...God Bless"!! The Holy Spirit led me to be a blessing to this man, so I reached in my wallet to give him 2 dollars, but the Holy Spirit said bless him with what you have, so I reached back in my wallet to give him the 10 dollar bill along with the other 2 dollars I had already pulled out of my wallet. The man reached out to receive the money said, "Thank You" but soon to follow this man began to do something I had never seen someone in his position do...immediately after reaching out his hand to receive the money I was blessing him with, this man began to silently pray to God moving only his mouth but with sincerity, gratitude, and full of joy!! After he finished praying he looked up to me and said God Bless You!! I never heard what he said to God but what I do know is that this was a man who had hope, joy, peace, and love regardless of his circumstances. Nothing could separate this man from God's love. As I shared with my wife after this encounter we as people of jobs, cars, houses and etc., get anxious, worried, frustrated and agitated with God, ourselves, and our situations when our finances are low but here is a person with nothing but indeed had everything because with the little that was offered to him he still rejoiced, he still wanted to thank God, he still had hope in the One who knows the plans for his life, regardless if it was much or a little!! No I don't wish or pray to be homeless but what I do pray is that with the same compassion and heart that allowed me to be a blessing to this man it allows me to have the same contentment and rejoicing over even the smallest of things the Lord gives me because I know that Greater is within me and that nothing can take Him away from me!! With Him I have everything I need and want!! Amen!! And it is so!!

IN THE BEGINNING - A NEW MERCY

In The Beginning -  A New Mercy  This first post is dedicated to my son Dustin who became a second confirmation to me that it was time to begin this blog that has been on my mind for quite sometime. He called because he was looking through some bible study documents that were a part of a spiritual journey he had taken some time ago. I am so proud of my son and what GOD has done and is doing for and through him. He encourages and motivates me in so many ways.. like this .. lighting a fire and pushing me towards what I know GOD has called me to do. His study was talking about  the book of Genesis which  has many meanings but we are most familiar with it's meaning -" the beginning." The beginning - the start-  of something.   As we look at our lives we can recall many beginnings .  Some that we ignited others because circumstances caused the New start.      What I want to focus on with this Beginning is the Mercy of GOD . ...
